Please excuse us while we review and revise this page.
The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education has recently changed the criteria for enduring materials and we are working on updating our guides, checklists, and planning document to reflect these changes.
In the meantime, if you are interested in accrediting an enduring material, please contact the office at 501-661-7962 or email email@example.com.
Enduring Materials (EM) are educational activities that are available when the learner chooses to complete it. It is “enduring,” meaning that there is not just one time on one day to participate in it. Rather, the participant determines when he/she participates. (Examples: online interactive educational module, recorded presentation, podcast). To apply for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, please read the guidelines below, complete the application and review the checklists.
Outlines the policies and procedures to be followed in order to provide an educational activity that is compliant with American Medical Association (AMA) and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) guidelines.
Planning Document –
Allows for gathering the necessary information and documentation for review in order to determine if the educational activity meets the criteria for a certified activity.
Peer Review and Pilot Testing Checklist –
This checklist serves a dual purpose. It should be used to guide the developer of the enduring material with the criteria that will be used to determine compliance. It is also used by the peer reviewers and pilot testers to monitor for compliance issues.
