For those professionals who wish to engage in a very in-depth semester-long inquiry into QI methodology in the healthcare field, Dr. Chris Cargile conducts an intensive course that covers Six Sigma, PDSA, patient safety concerns and metrics and requires all participants to conduct their own QI project. For faculty in the UAMS Department of Pediatrics, our sister organization, Arkansas Children’s Hospital offers a Quality Scholars course led by Dr. Jay Deshpande that provides in-depth training in on QI methodologies and requires participants to complete their own QI project.
