Born and raised in Puerto Rico. Later lived in Dallas, Texas.
Where did you attend medical school?
University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St. Kitts
What other educational credentials do you have?
Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Food Safety and Protection from Universidad del Este Carolina, Puerto Rico
What are your particular clinical interests?
Family Medicine offers me the versatility of practice and a deeper focus on preventive health care, an important focus for me. In addition, I would like to focus in chronic disease management, geriatric populations, and inpatient medicine as well. Coming from a family of educators I want to keep educating, counseling, helping patients understand their illness, and using diverse techniques like “The Diabetic Card” so they can improve their quality of life.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
Family Medicine offers me the opportunity to have a glance over many different specialties. Also, every encounter with a patient is like a Pandora’s box; once opened there are many possibilities that require a knowledge that runs across all ages. Families and communities are always evolving, and as family practitioners, we need to grow to be able to carry with the new trends that might arise, reminding myself that I will not only be treating medical conditions, but I will also be creating a positive relationship with my patients based on trust, communication, and empathy throughout their lifespan.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
This program has the most complete web page regarding all the information about the residency program and such a complete curriculum. The dinner night with the residents was amazing, and they answered all my questions. Once it came to my interview day, it felt like home. I love the way the Morning Report went, and I felt part of the team. The rest of the day was smooth, and I was so excited from all the feedback that I received from all the residents and faculty. I also loved how all the residents said very good and positive things regarding Dr. Kraleti, including all the great ideas that is to come in the near future. This no doubt made me realize that this was a program that I would fit right in.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
Outside of medicine, cooking and baking are my passions. I’m always ready to take on new recipes in the kitchen. Art, museums, and history (especially Roman, Egyptian and World War eras) are things that intrigue me. I’m always learning and reading new things or seeing new art such as “ The Woman in Gold “ by Gustav Klimt, which is also my favorite painting. Something that my fiancé and I enjoy, besides walking around the lake near our house, is looking at architectural designs and eating sushi in every new city we visit; and also binge watching any new series (the last one was YOU).
