I grew up in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

UAMS.
What other educational credentials do you have?
I have a B.A. in History and French from the University of Kansas.
What are your particular clinical interests?
I have a broad range of interests, which is part of what attracted me to Family Medicine. I’m particularly interested in preventive medicine and managing chronic illness.
Why did you choose Family Medicine?
I have a background in the humanities, so I really appreciate the human side of Family Medicine. I like that it allows you to form lasting relationships with your patients. The field also requires that you engage with patients on a family and community level, which I enjoy.
Why did you choose the Little Rock Family Medicine residency program?
I grew up in Arkansas, and most of my family lives here. I feel a strong connection with the people here, and a commitment to serving my home state. Our program also has a warm, welcoming culture that I was really drawn to.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of medicine?
I enjoy traveling, films, and novels. I’m especially a fan of science fiction. I also enjoy hiking around Little Rock and Northwest Arkansas, where I’m from, and learning about the natural world we live in. I’m interested in foraging, gardening, and cooking. I believe that food has a profound effect on our health and well-being.
