
Dr. Gilmore-Szott is an Assistant Professor. After receiving her doctorate from the University of Utah, Dr. Gilmore-Szott spent a year as a Clinical Ethics Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine and Houston Methodist Hospital.
She has worked in the area of what constitutes “understanding” in clinical decision-making and has been exploring the ethics of machine-learning models in clinical settings. Dr. Gilmore-Szott is active in education in ethics throughout the institution, provides clinical ethics consultations at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s, and serves on the UAMS Institutional Review Board.
