Epilepsy Symposium 2021

Saturday, November 6, 2021
1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Free Virtual Event

November is Epilepsy Awareness Month.  Epilepsy is a common and serious neurological condition that affects over 50 million people worldwide. Approximately 10 percent of the population will experience at least one seizure in their lifetime. About 30 percent of those who have a first seizure will experience seizure recurrence and thus develop epilepsy

On November 6, 2021, UAMS hosted the Third Annual Epilepsy Symposium to discuss the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy and seizure disorders.  This event was open to patients with a diagnosis of epilepsy and seizure disorders, patient caregivers and family members, and healthcare professionals interested in epilepsy treatment.
