April is Parkinson’s Disease Awareness Month

Each year, 50 to 60 thousand new cases are diagnosed in the United States. Researchers are working toward finding a cure and making progress on the best treatment options.

This event is open to patients with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s, patient caregivers and family members, neurosurgeons, neurologists, and anyone else interested in learning about Parkinson’s disease, treatment options, research initiatives, and living with Parkinson’s disease.

Support Movement Disorders

Looking for ways to support movement disorders education and patient programs? Your contributions can make a lasting impact. The Movement Disorders Funds at UAMS are dedicated to supporting education, outreach, and research within the Department of Neurosurgery to enhance the quality of care for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease and related conditions.
