Education: Dr. Elberson attended Texas Tech University and completed an M.D./Ph.D. dual degree with research in molecular biophysics, specifically on the structure and function of ligand-gated ion channels.
Professional Interests: Dr. Elberson is interested in epilepsy and general neurosurgery. She has research projects in pediatric and adult neurosurgery in a diverse range of topics. She enjoys the wide range of technology available in the neurosurgical operating room, particularly robotic approaches for minimally invasive cranial and spinal surgery.
Hobbies: Her hobbies include fly-fishing on the Little Red River, tying flies at home to practice those microsurgical skills, anime and sci-fi TV and movies, gaming on her Switch, cooking, and of course spending time with family.
Dr. Elberson has a four-year-old boy, Owen. Her wife, Jill, has a master’s degree in English with an emphasis on poetry, but while Dr. Elberson spends the majority of her time at UAMS, Jill takes care of Owen.
