
Matthew Lindberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at UAMS.
Dr. Lindberg earned his medical degree from UAMS in 2006, then remained in Arkansas to complete AP/CP residency training followed by a Surgical Pathology fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Laura Lamps. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and is licensed to practice in over 15 states.
Dr. Lindberg’s clinical interests include soft tissue, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary pathology, with a strong emphasis on mesenchymal neoplasia. He has authored two best-selling textbooks in Elsevier’s Diagnostic Pathology series, Soft Tissue Tumors and Normal Histology, and runs an active consultation service, predominantly centered around tumors of soft tissue. Academically, Dr. Lindberg also enjoys working with residents and has been the recipient of several departmental teaching awards, including Excellence in AP Teaching and Innovation in Education. Outside of work he enjoys golf, cooking, paintball, writing fiction, trivia, and just about anything involving nature and the outdoors.
