Arkansas Children’s in Little Rock, AR is searching for a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Sleep Medicine provider to support a fast-growing division and sleep service with resources for continued expansion. Primary certification in Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Pulmonology, Pediatric Psychiatry or General Pediatrics is preferred, but Sleep BC/BE candidates with primary certification in Pediatric Otolaryngology or Family Medicine will be considered.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Join an established and active practice with one certified sleep medicine provider. 1,200-1,300 pediatric sleep studies conducted annually
- ACH is home to the only American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM)-accredited Pediatric Sleep Disorders Center in the state
- The sleep laboratory houses five sleep suites designed to accommodate one adult family member to stay with the child during the overnight sleep test. The rooms are equipped with monitoring equipment, including video, allowing for direct observation of the child and are fully equipped to evaluate sleep physiology and guide treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders. Plans for the expansion of the current sleep laboratory facility and the addition of a satellite location are underway
- Full-service Pediatric Sleep Disorders outpatient clinic with ~ 4,700 visits annually
- Innovative positive pressure adherence program with 2 dedicated full-time respiratory therapists
- Psychology support in clinics
- Strong collaboration with Pulmonary, Otolaryngology, Craniofacial, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Rehab and other related subspecialty services
- Extensive research opportunities. The Sleep division has consistently presented at least two abstracts at the national meeting and a minimum of one or two manuscript publications for the past five years
- Multiple teaching opportunities – including pediatric / psychiatry/ developmental pediatrics /neurology/ ENT residents and fellows

The Arkansas Children’s System includes two hospitals, a statewide care network of clinics and outreach programs, a research institute and a foundation.
