Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- A clear passion for improving, expanding and refining clinical operations
- Knowledge of academic medical center operations, planning, finance and administration
- Ability to collaborate with clinical partners to ensure seamless operations between academic and clinical enterprise
- Proficiency in managing clinical operations, budgeting and change management
- Experience in developing clinical initiatives and programs is preferred
- BC/BE in a pediatric subspecialty

- Individualized FTE allocation, general parameters include dedicated 40% FTE for the Vice Chair role, 25% for Medical Director of Ambulatory Subspecialty Pediatrics, 10% for academic time and 25% for clinical FTE
- Optimize pediatric inpatient and outpatient provider and clinical workflow to benefit providers, patients, efficiency and revenue
- Oversee revisions to outpatient scheduling templates across the department in a data-driven and consistent manner
- Interface with provider clinical champions in each section to advocate for clinicians and enhance their experience in providing care
- Expand access for patients by defining new departmental and Section-specific approaches
- Connect with Clinical Informatics faculty/staff to optimize electronic medical record use and workflow
- Collaborate with Arkansas Children’s dyad partners to harmonize efficient operations across the enterprise
- Monitor revenue cycle for clinical operations at the department level, including modeling new approaches
- Define and track with defined metrics departmental clinical productivity in a manner that benefits providers and patients
- Design initiatives with individual Sections to integrate the Department’s efforts to improve clinical efficiency and access
- Ideally this role requires experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a pediatric subspecialist in order to understand the nuances of clinical care delivery

ACH is the only pediatric health system in the state of Arkansas, providing coverage to the state’s children from birth to age 21.
