Preparing for your Pediatric Board Exams

One of our pediatric residency training program goals is to prepare residents for passing their pediatric certification exam taken after the completion of training.  UAMS offers multiple tools to assist you in preparing for the Pediatric Boards.

Interns are provided with study materials.  Residents are encouraged to read through the entirety of the material as they proceed through residency and again prior to taking their certification exams.

All residents receive monthly issues of Pediatrics In Review, a yearly subscription of PREP study materials, and access to the Pedialink site all through your American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) membership.  Starting in your intern year and continuing throughout, you will receive board preparation questions via email using PREP’s online modules.

Trainees are also invited to attend the yearly Board Review Lecture Series (provided Monday-Friday in May-June) that is specifically focused on continuing to prepare upper-level residents for board certification.

The Housestaff program is always looking for ways to help all residents succeed in all phases of residency—not just boards.  Our overall goal is your professional, educational and clinical success.
