Advancing Pediatric Medicine Together
The Department of Pediatrics is committed to research and accelerating pediatric medicine in every major specialty. Most research conducted on the Arkansas Children’s Hospital campus is housed at the Arkansas Children’s Research Institute and Arkansas Children’s Nutrition Center. While most of our researchers are from the DOP, others are from UAMS clinical and basic science departments such as Otolaryngology, Psychiatry, Surgery, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Microbiology, and Immunology, as well as Pharmacology and Toxicology, providing opportunities for strong collaborative teams and grant applications.
