“Current State of Transplantation in Arkansas”

Speaker: Lyle J. Burdine, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Burdine is an associate professor in the UAMS Department of Surgery. He is a board-certified kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant surgeon. Dr. Burdine obtained his bachelor’s degrees in chemistry and philosophy from Duke University and his doctorates from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his residency in general surgery at UAMS and a fellowship in abdominal transplants from the University of California San Francisco. Dr. Burdine maintains an active research program in the Division of Surgical Research transforming basic science discoveries to clinical solutions for transplant and cancer patients.
