Assessment, Examinations, and Grading
Six components contribute to the course grade. These are three written examinations, three practical examinations, periodic individual quizzes, periodic group quizzes, in-lab dissection assessments and participation in the course research conference.
All courses in the pre-clerkship phase of the medical curriculum are designated as Pass/Fail. Percent scores are calculated by dividing the total number of points by the number of points possible. Pass is defined as 70.0% and above. Failed is defined as below 70.0%.
