- Basic Research: Apoptosis. Neuronal and glial cell death caused by trophic factor deprivation, oxidative stress, organic or inorganic cytotoxic agents.
- Clinical Research: The effect of Tai Chi, a moving meditation derived from ancient Chinese martial art, on osteoarthritic pain and quality of life in elders with cognitive impairment.
