A University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) research team has been awarded a $3 million grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to test promising findings that could lead to better treatments for hormone loss caused by a malfunctioning pituitary gland.

Paul Drew, Ph.D., has been named chair of the Department of Neurobiology and Developmental Sciences in the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine, effective July 1.
