COM faculty may submit an application up to $2,500 to access recharge core facilities. Interested applicants can submit an application here: https://redcap.link/0n8ow1v3. Applicants will need to prepare a one-page application including the following sub-sections: Project Summary, Resource Utilization, and Plan for Extramural Funding and Publications. An official quote must be obtained from the core facility director or staff and must be uploaded with the application. Samples should be immediately ready for submission to the core facility.
COM faculty may only have one active voucher award at a time. Award vouchers must be utilized within 3 months of award or the voucher will be cancelled and the applicant must reapply at a subsequent deadline. An active or pending voucher award does not exclude an awardee from applying for other COM or UAMS intramural funding.
Due Dates: Applications are accepted three times a year: July 15, November 15 and March 15. Vouchers must be fully utilized (samples processing in the core facility) by the end of the quarter in which it was awarded.
Expectations: To be eligible for future COM intramural support, award recipients will be expected to complete annual surveys to collect funding outcome metrics, demonstrate that funding enabled extramural grant submissions and publications, and utilize the voucher within the given funding period.
