Rural communities and physicians are encouraged to use www.medjobarkansas.com and 3rnet.org to post job openings and CVs and get connected. This is a national service that is designed to connect physicians with communities in need of healthcare professionals.
The UAMS Physician and Provider Placement Program is a non-profit placement service at UAMS that works with facilities in Arkansas to help with recruitment needs. The program only places providers in Arkansas and has agreements with facilities all over the state in a variety of specialties. To see what opportunities are available, go to the Physician Recruitment page at UAMSHealth.
Rural communities in need of physicians may also contact the Rural Practice Administrator, Tammy Henson, by email at tahenson@uams.edu with information on specific needs. Periodic updates are given to residents participating in the Rural Practice Scholarship Program who will be searching for a rural community.
