As Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) is becoming increasingly recognized as a tool used by internists to help with diagnosis and treatment, we have incorporated ultrasonography into our curriculum both formally and informally. Formally, we have ultrasound lectures, routine hands-on tutorials, and we are in the process of developing an ultrasound elective rotation. Informally, our inpatient care teams at both the VA and UAMS often round with and perform bedside ultrasound, both on the floors and in the ICU.
