Flashback to when you were 10 years old. What do you want to be when you grow up? As a dreamer and a life enthusiast, I always wanted to be many things, but my favorite aspiration was to become a scientist. I used to mix different products in hopes of creating something new and revolutionary. Of course, those early experiments didn’t quite work out—but I’m grateful to have chosen a career that allows me to fulfill that dream through research, while also combining it with one of the things I love most in life: taking care of people.

If you weren’t a doctor, what would you be? I would certainly be a pharmacist or a chemical engineer, and I would find a way to teach in either of those careers.
Favorite show to binge watch? The Big Bang Theory
What is a fun fact about yourself that not a lot of people know? When I was seven, I was awarded for writing the best poem in the school about creating a more peaceful world.
What is the next thing you want to check off on your bucket list? Visit Italy and eat authentic Italian food.
