Favorite thing about working with the IM residents?
Meeting each of them, learning about their lives, cultures, and experiences is truly enriching. It’s a joy to witness their growth during their time here and to offer support along their journey.
Favorite thing about living in Arkansas?
It is beautiful here! I love all of the trees, lakes, and rivers. Most of all, I love the people.
What do you do outside of the hospital to relax/have fun?
During the school year, you’ll often find us cheering at softball or volleyball games with our two daughters. In my free time, I love crocheting and reading; you’ll rarely catch me without a book or a ball of yarn in hand.
Favorite shows to binge-watch?
Vampire Diaries, Reign, Big Bang Theory, and Grey’s Anatomy are some of my favorites. However, I like anything with a captivating story.
What is your favorite family tradition?
Our family tradition involves a small ornament shaped like a pickle. Each Christmas, we wrap an additional gift designated as the “pickle present.” After all the other gifts have been opened, we hide the pickle ornament on the tree. Our daughters eagerly search for it, and the first one to find it receives the “pickle present.” It’s a delightful holiday tradition we cherish each year!
What is the best advice you’ve ever heard?
First – “Never have more children than you have parents!” – I still find this to be great advice!
Second – “Don’t let the bad days make you feel like you have a bad life.”
