A variety of clinical research opportunities are available including ongoing projects lead by senior faculty. Residents are encouraged to choose projects based on their own interests.
External funding can be obtained to further increase the scope and quality of research and education of the Neurosurgery program. Results are presented on the national and international stage and published in peer-reviewed clinical journals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Warren Boop made an enormous impact on the professional lives of neurosurgeons, especially those who trained at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
In recognition of his contributions to Neurosurgery, the Warren C. Boop Honor your Mentor (HYM) Fund was established to support neurosurgical resident education and research at UAMS.
