During his time at the University of Illinois in Chicago, he was involved with teaching as he volunteered with the UIC Prep High school where he served as a lab aid and tutor. He also founded a private tutoring service for undergraduates to assist non-native English speakers with their core science classes. During medical school, he continued his private tutoring for undergraduate students and expanded to multiple college campuses across Illinois. He also remained active with his local community as he organized local events during the COVID-19 pandemic such as clothes and food drives.
