Dr. Tewar is the Associate Program Director for the UAMS Pediatric residency program. She is a Developmental – Behavioral pediatrician by training and sees children in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics clinic, in Arkansas children’s Pediatric Cardiac Neurodevelopmental program and serves as the medical director for the UAMS PACE Foster care clinic.
Dr. Tewar obtained her medical degree at B.J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. She completed her pediatric residency training at the Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital at the Albany Medical Center in New York, followed by Developmental – Behavioral Pediatrics fellowship training at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio. Dr. Tewar also holds a master’s degree in public health from West Chester University of Pennsylvania in Pennsylvania and is very interested in population health as it pertains to children with developmental disabilities and children in foster care.
Dr. Tewar along with other APDs share responsibilities of curriculum development, resident scholarly interests and supporting them through this process and developing supports for Interns onboarding with a focus on International Medical Graduates.
