Building Bonds Every Year
Each year, our pediatric residency program sets aside a special Friday for every residency class to step away from clinical responsibilities and come together for their annual retreat. This dedicated time is designed to foster connection, reflection, and growth—both personally and professionally. Residents are fully excused from clinical duties, allowing them to fully engage in a day of learning, collaboration, and rejuvenation.
Tailored Growth Through Connection
The retreats blend educational sessions with team-building activities to support academic growth and interpersonal connection. Content is curated with input from leadership but tailored to each class’s unique needs and goals. Residents help shape the agenda, ensuring a relevant and meaningful experience that reflects their interests and fosters a strong sense of community.
Whether it’s diving into topics like wellness, leadership, or communication, or participating in hands-on activities that strengthen camaraderie, the retreat serves as a valuable pause in the busy rhythm of residency. It’s a chance to recharge, reflect, and reconnect—with each other and with the deeper purpose of pediatric care. These retreats are a cherished tradition that reinforce the supportive, resident-centered culture of our program.
