Starting the Academic Year Right
We typically kick-off the academic year with our Intern Orientation activities: Intern Welcome lunch, Night at the Travs, and various welcome events hosted by each class. Families are welcome as we get to know the new crew, and prepare for the upcoming academic year.
Falling Into The Good Times
Fall in Arkansas is amazing: the weather gets crisp, the trees put on a spectacular show, and fall activities abound. We welcome it all by heading out the the Arkansas State Fair for the best of the midway, hosting pumpkin carving contests, and the best part: The Annual Halloween Costume Contest!
There’s No Place like Peds For the Holidays
Between the annual Progressive Holiday Dinner and Friendsgiving, the residents make sure that spirits are bright throughout the season! Each Christmas, we sponsor a Headstart Program classroom with gifts, and last year we also sponsored a group of pregnant mothers with baby essentials and a little something for themselves. Our annual Secret Santa gift exchange is always festive and fun….and the Santa Hunt always finds Santa hidden in the craziest places on campus!
Cold Days of Winter Can’t Stop Us
The long nights and cold days can bring around the winter blues, but we pack in as much fun as possible before we welcome spring. Our annual Resident Appreciation Week activities are each February, and thanks to our faculty donors we host amazing activities every day from donut delivers, food truck visits, and the annual luncheon with raffle prizes.
Spring Has Sprung at ACH
As spring rolls in with longer days and warmer rays, our residents emerge from winter hibernation and reclaim the great outdoors! From impromptu hangouts to sun-soaked strolls, it’s all about soaking up the season, catching up with friends, and making the most of every glorious minute under that golden sky.
All Good Things Must Come to an End
The countdown to graduation is on! Every year, the Office of Education throws a heartwarming (and slightly tear-jerking) dinner bash to honor our incredible pediatric and medicine-pediatric graduates. It’s a night filled with laughter, hugs, proud families, and a whole lot of love as we cheer on our newest pediatricians heading out to chase dreams, heal tiny humans, and make the world a better place—one kiddo at a time.
