Neurodevelopmental Leadership in the Region
We are the leaders of a federally-funded interdisciplinary program, training future leaders across more than 15 healthcare-related professions, within our Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) region.
Our LEND trainees are competitively chosen across graduate-level programs in four universities in Arkansas and Mississippi. There are currently 52 LEND programs in 44 states in the U.S., with our LEND first established in 1994 in Arkansas. Mississippi joined with us in 2008, and we’ve been effectively operating as a regional program ever since.
While the primary mission of our regional LEND program is to develop the next generation of leaders in the disability field, community projects, services and education provided through LEND also improves the lives of children with neurodevelopmental disabilities in our region.
