Markell Foreman is a Senior Research Assistant for the UAMS Health Initiatives and Disparities Research Program in the Department of Surgery. His primary focus is outreach to medically underserved communities across the state of Arkansas for colorectal cancer screening and prevention. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Arkansas Fayetteville and his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Mr. Foreman enjoys patient care because he feels there is nothing more rewarding than being able to provide help to those in need. To have the purpose to serve others and save/preserve life is one of the most amazing attributes in this field. He hopes to help close the gap in areas related to occupational and environmental exposures and lifestyle choices that influence cancer related health disparities. He is a member of the Society of Clinical Research Associates.
