About Us

Who We Are

The primary objectives of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology are to (1) perform cutting edge research that expands human knowledge and provides new insights into issues related to human health, (2) support the next-generation of scientists by providing rigorous training for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows that will allow them to compete for careers in research and teaching, and (3) educate medical students about the relationships between molecules, cells, and human disease.
