The Internal Advisory Committee’s (IAC) facilitates access to institutional resources necessary to develop and expand the CMDR, such as commitments for new faculty recruitment and infrastructure development. The IAC advises and works with the CMDR Director, Dr. O’Brien regarding strategic planning and administrative oversight of the Center. Members of the IAC were selected based on their successful records of scientific accomplishment, and their proven ability to develop and oversee large programs and multi-investigator projects.

Larry Cornett, Ph.D., is a Professor and Director of Arkansas INBRE
Mark Smeltzer, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology and is the PI/Director of a phase II COBRE (Center for Microbial Pathogenesis and Host Inflammatory Responses).
Teresita Bellido, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics in the UAMS College of Medicine
Daniel Voth, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology in the UAMS College of Medicine
