Recent Graduates

Elena Ambrogini, M.D., Ph.D., the Principal Investigator of Project 1, was awarded the VA Merit Review Award, Biomedical Laboratory Research and Development, to study the Role of natural antibodies against oxidation specific epitopes in bone homeostasis. Dr. Ambrogini graduated from the CMDR in 2019.

Jinhu Xiong, Ph.D., the Principal Investigator of Project 2, was awarded an R01 by the NIAMS to study the role of Piezo1 in bone homeostasis and mechanotransduction. Dr. Xiong graduated from the CMDR in 2020.

Nicholas Greene, Ph.D., was awarded an R01 by NIAMS to study Development Of Targeted Approaches In Prevention Of Cancer-Cachexia. Dr. Greene received start up funding in late 2019 and graduated in 2020.

Jesús Delgado-Calle, Ph.D., received an NIH award in June 2020. He received start up funding and graduated in 2020.

Roy Morello, Ph.D., was awarded an R01 BY NIH to study Lung developmental defects caused by type I collagen mutations in mouse models of osteogenesis imperfecta. Dr. Morello graduated from CMDR in October 2023.
