Workshops
Afternoon experiences will break the participants into three smaller groups (G1-3) which will rotate through the following three workshops (W1-3) over three days:
W1 – Responding to Moral Distress in the Clinic: This workshop will discuss how to address moral distress in clinical settings. Participants will work together on strategies and processes that can be implemented within a clinical environment. (Leader: Jamie Carlin Watson, Ph.D., UAMS)
W2 – Education about Moral Distress: This workshop will discuss how to educate others in your institutions about moral distress—the concept, the research, and the responses to Moral Distress. (Leader: D. Micah Hester, Ph.D., UAMS)
W3 – Organizational considerations regarding moral distress – This workshop will discuss how thinking about Moral Distress can influence ethical climate, culture and policy within policy review in your institution. (Leader: Laura Guidry-Grimes, Ph.D., UAMS)
