Message from the President
It is an honor to serve as President of the Arkansas Neurological Society (ANS), and I am privileged to work alongside a dedicated ANS Executive Committee committed to advancing the practice of neurology across our state. Together, we are dedicated to advancing high-quality, evidence-based neurological care through collaboration, education, advocacy, and professional engagement. We believe that by working together, we can strengthen our profession, support one another, and improve the lives of patients throughout Arkansas.
Over the coming years, our Executive Committee will focus on strengthening communication and collaboration among neurologists and neuroscience professionals across Arkansas while expanding opportunities for continuing medical education, mentorship, and lifelong learning. We strive to cultivate an active and engaged membership that fosters the exchange of knowledge, supports professional growth, and encourages innovation to meet the evolving needs of our patients, our members, and our specialty.
Advocacy remains an important part of our mission. We aim to increase public awareness of neurological disorders and support efforts to improve access to high-quality neurological care across Arkansas. By working collaboratively with healthcare systems, policymakers, patient advocacy organizations, and other stakeholders, we hope to contribute to meaningful initiatives that benefit our patients, support our profession, and strengthen neurological care throughout our state. We also value the perspectives of our members, whose ideas and experiences will help shape the Society’s priorities.
As we look to the future, we invite every member to play an active role in the Arkansas Neurological Society. Your ideas, expertise, and participation are essential to the continued growth and success of our organization. On behalf of the Executive Committee, thank you for your dedication to our patients, our profession, and our society. We look forward to working alongside you to strengthen Arkansas’s neurological community and advance exceptional neurological care for the people of Arkansas.
Karthika Durga Veerapaneni, M.D.
