From the Department Chair

Rohit Dhall, M.D., MSPH

Welcome to the Department of Neurology at UAMS.

Diseases of the brain and nervous system can affect every aspect of life—movement, memory, speech, independence, and identity. At UAMS, our mission is to provide expert, compassionate care for the whole person, while advancing the science and education of neurology across Arkansas and beyond.

Here you’ll find information about our clinical programs, innovative research, and our dedicated team of faculty, residents, and staff committed to serving patients with complex neurological conditions and being a resource for the Neurology workforce in our State and beyond. From common disorders to rare neurodegenerative diseases, we have the best multidisciplinary teams in Arkansas and the region, that offer cutting-edge diagnosis and personalized care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

We are proud to be Arkansas’s primary academic resource for advanced neurological care. Whether treating patients in our clinics, training the next generation of neurologists, or discovering new therapies through research and clinical trials, our department is driven by a single purpose: to improve lives through excellence in care, learning, and discovery.

Thank you for visiting. We invite you to explore our site and connect with us as we continue building a healthier future for patients and families affected by neurological disorders.
