About Us

Our Expertise

We offer state-of the art treatment of stroke, seizures, dementia, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, neuro-critical care, brain tumors and headache.  Our attending physicians are teachers at the only medical school and neurology residency program in the state, which keeps us on the cutting edge of medical science and the latest technologies. We conduct basic and clinical research to understand disease mechanisms and develop new treatments, both locally initiated and in national clinical trials. These studies provide access to new therapies while advancing our knowledge of brain diseases.

We also provide a variety of specialized testing and services including electroencephalography (EEG), electromyography and nerve conduction studies (EMG/NCS), autonomic nervous system (ANS) testing, programming of deep brain stimulator (DBS) and vagus nerve stimulator (VNS) devices, and botulinum toxin injections.

Mission, Vision, and Values

Our Mission

  • To provide outstanding patient-centered care to persons with neurological disorders and their families and caretakers
  • To shed new light on brain and nerve diseases and develop novel treatments through basic, clinical and translational research
  • To teach the art and science of neurological care to the next generation of physicians and other health professionals
  • To serve our institution, the people of Arkansas, and the local, national and international organizations that combat nervous system disease
