Undergraduate: Vanderbilt University
Medical School: University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine
Favorite Aspects of Pathology: I am very interested in Hematopathology! I have a specific interest in Multiple Myeloma.
Outside of Medicine: Outside of medicine I am an avid long-distance runner and traveler. I have run 19 marathons and have a goal of running at least a half marathon in every state. I also have two cats and a guinea pig!
Why I Like UAMS Pathology: I first became interested in UAMS because I was very interested in the Hemepath program here and the incredible Myeloma center. I ultimately picked UAMS because everyone was incredibly welcoming on interview day and the program seemed very supportive of their residents! UAMS also had a great neurology department for my fiance (we couples matched)!

Favorite Activity in Arkansas: The Arkansas River Trail! I love running on the trail or just walking along the river through the Medical Mile sculpture park. This is a 30-mile paved trail along the river with beautiful bridges and parks, perfect anyone who loves being active!
Favorite Restaurant in Little Rock: There are so many! I really like Samantha’s Taproom and Wood Grill, Bruno’s Little Italy and Zaza’s.
If I weren’t a pathologist, I would be: A marine biologist specifically working at a sea turtle hospital (this was five-year-old me’s dream job)!
