Favorite Aspects of Pathology: Hematopathology! I will be completing the HemePath fellowship at UAMS next year!
Outside of Medicine: Outside of medicine I am an avid long distance runner. I have run 26 marathons and have a goal of running at least a half marathon in every state! I also have two cats and a dog!
Why I like UAMS Pathology: I first became interested in UAMS because I was interested in the HemePath program here and the incredible Myeloma Center! I ultimately picked UAMS because everyone was incredibly welcoming on interview day and the program seemed very supportive of their residents. I am happy to say they were even more welcoming and kind than I expected and I have met some of my best friends through UAMS!
Favorite Activity in Arkansas: The Arkansas River Trail! I love running on the trail or just walking along the river through the Medical Mile sculpture park. This is a 30-mile paved trail along the river with beautiful bridges and parks, perfect anyone who loves being active!
Favorite Restaurant in Little Rock: There are so many! My top favorites are Cypress Social and ZaZa’s!
If I weren’t a pathologist, I would be: A marine biologist specifically working at a sea turtle hospital (this was five-year-old me’s dream job)!
