Undergraduate: University of Central Arkansas
Medical School: University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
Favorite Aspects of Pathology: Dermatopathology – I really enjoy the large clinical overlap with dermatology
Outside of Medicine: Running, cycling, hot yoga, sand volleyball, and exploring different restaurants and breweries. Little Rock is a true gem for the fellow foodies.
Why I Like UAMS Pathology: The culture among residents and faculty is one of the strongest assets of our program. The faculty are very engaged in resident education and are easily accessible with an open door policy (with offices on the same floor as our resident room). I also wanted a program with subspecialty sign out and appreciate the daily one to two hours of protected sign out time that are dedicated to one-on-one, faculty-resident teaching. Outside of work you can catch residents, faculty, and alumni at trivia on Thursday nights.
Favorite Activity in Arkansas: Cycling – Arkansas has a ton of beautiful trails for road and mountain bikes.
Favorite Restaurant in Little Rock: Maddie’s Place
If I weren’t a pathologist, I would be: An Interior Decorator
