Dr. Drake is an Associate Program Director for the Pediatric Residency Program at UAMS and practices Child Neurology at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. He earned his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and subsequently completed his residency in Child Neurology from UAMS as well. He is the director of the headache clinic and also has a special interest in concussion management,Neuro-critical care and functional neurological disorders.

Dr. Drake is a native of Little Rock and a graduate at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He is married to his wife Courtney and has four children, Charlie, Cameron, Cash and Chloe. If you catch him outside of the hospital, you will probably witness him cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs or the Arkansas Razorbacks.

His experience during residency at Arkansas Children’s Hospital inspired him to have a passion for resident education, joining the Housestaff Office in January 2024. He is dedicated to growing the residency program to achieve new heights each year!

Other Personnel

Other personnel within the division include four APRNs, ten specialty nurses, child neurology resident coordinator, child neurology office manager and two administrative staff.

Other supporting pediatric faculty at ACH/UAMS includes over 200 members representing virtually every pediatric subspecialty, including cardiologists, geneticists, intensivists, neonatologists, infectious disease specialists, hematologists-oncologists, emergency medicine physicians, nephrologists, gastroenterologists, pulmonologists, radiologists including neuro-radiologists and rehabilitation physicians as well as multiple surgical specialists including pediatric neurosurgeons.

Previous child neurology residents have successfully gone on to a variety of destinations both in academic and private practice including Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, California, Washington D.C as well as others.
