The Arkansas Nexus for Excellence in Technology, Workforce, Outreach, and Research Knowledge (AR-NETWORK)

AR-NETWORK invites applications for the Emerging Research Leaders (ERL) Program. This competitive program is designed to support early-career researchers across Arkansas institutions .

Key points:

  • Prior federal funding success is NOT required
  • Limited to two (2) applications per institution
  • Selected recipients receive $30,000 per year for up to two years to support research leadership development
  • Internal due date: December 20, 2025

Submit the following for the internal competition:

​1. Research & Leadership Statement (1–2 pages): A narrative that outlines the

  • applicant’s long-term research vision
  • highlights past experiences leading or mentoring small teams
  • demonstrates persistence in advancing research despite challenges
  • describes future leadership goals

 2. Curriculum vitae or Biosketch (NSF/NIH SciENcv format preferred).

National Center for Opioid Research and Clinical Effectiveness (NCOR) Spark Awards FY2025-2026 is accepting applications!

These quick-start projects are designed to spark new lines of research and/or collaborations that will result in the receipt of external research funding. Projects should address issues related to opioid misuse that impact the health and well-being of children and families in Arkansas and beyond and will be integrated within NCOR.

Key points:

  • ACRI investigators and other UAMS faculty with a terminal degree are eligible to apply 
  • $150,000 total (up to $75,000 per year for up to 2 years) 
  • Letter of Intent Due Date: Accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted or June 30, 2026 (whichever is earliest)
