Fellowship Curriculum
First year
- 24 weeks of inpatient service (done Monday through Friday, 2-4 weeks at a time)
- 4 weeks of Bone Marrow Transplant at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, TX
- 10-12 weeks of Electives – Blood Bank (1-2 weeks), Apheresis (1-2 weeks), Pathology, (1-2 weeks), Research (4 weeks)
- 9-10 weeks of outpatient
- Call – weekend call dispersed throughout the year
Second year
- 8-10 weeks of inpatient service
- Approximately 80% of second year is allocated for research
- Call – weekend call dispersed throughout the year
Third year
- 8-10 weeks of inpatient service
- Approximately 80% of third year is allocated to research
- Call – weekend call dispersed throughout the year
