Patient Care

Excellence in Emergency Care

Our Emergency Medicine section provides direct patient care in the Level 1 trauma facility at Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) in Little Rock and the ACNW ER in Springdale, Ark.

Providing care in an ER is about more than X-rays, bandages and burns, our faculty and trainees work with specialists from a variety of divisions to treat the whole patient.

Child Life Specialists, Respiratory Therapists and Social Workers are an integral part of the care offered in the ACH ER.

The ACH Emergency Room is a fully-equipped, pediatric-focused facility that accepts patients around the clock. The ER has 30 private exam rooms, four trauma/resuscitation bays and specially-equipped orthopaedic, CMS/obstetric/gynecologic and psychiatric rooms.
