Duo Bessette recently joined Assistant Professor Yunmeng Liu’s lab as a research technician. A native of rural Arkansas, Duo earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Ecology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2020, followed by a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the same institution in 2025. Over the past five years while completing their masters program, they worked at the Little Rock Zoo before starting their new position at UAMS. Outside of work, Duo enjoys reading, gaming, and adventuring as a paladin in Dungeons & Dragons. Additionally, they are the proud owner of a pet snake and enjoy occasional explorations of local microbreweries. Please extend a warm welcome to Duo!
