The Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology recently hosted a
student welcome and recruitment outing at Main Event, bringing together current and incoming students for an evening of bowling, arcade games, food, and informal networking. The event was organized by Christian Mitchell, a senior PhD student in the department, with participation from Bushra Zaman, Grace Bing, Faith Stephens, Spencer Snow, and Justin Pressley. These students have also been actively involved in departmental recruitment efforts, helping prospective and incoming students learn more about our graduate program, research training, and student life. Led by Christian, the group created a welcoming environment where incoming students could get to know their peers, ask questions about coursework and laboratory rotations, and begin building connections. The event also gave current students an opportunity to reconnect after the summer and welcome the new class. We appreciate all of our students who participated and represented the department so well, with a special thank you to Christian for taking the lead in organizing the event.
