Most research projects will require a variety of approvals for individuals. It is best to start this process as soon as possible, during the clinical year if possible, to avoid delays in starting the research project. Discuss with your PI what is needed and how to get you added to current animal and IBC biosafety protocols currently active in the lab.
IACUC – Animal Use
To work with animals, you will need a general training class followed by facility-specific orientation.
