In 2007, UAMS opened the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus in Fayetteville. Within its first decade, the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus grew from a handful of students to over 220. This regional campus is home to three tracks for our medical students: the three-year primary care scholars Doctor of Medicine track, the traditional four-year Doctor of Medicine track, and the option to complete the first and second years of medical school at UAMS in Little Rock and the third and fourth years at the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus in Fayetteville. This campus also houses the internal medicine and family medicine residencies.
