Length of Program: two tracks
One Year
All students will enter the College of Public Health (COPH) and work towards a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree. If admitted to medical school in the first year, the student has the option to complete the MPH during medical school. Alternatively, they could receive a Postbaccalaureate Certificate in Public Health (18 credit hours).

Two Years
complete the Master in Public Health
If NOT accepted to medical school, the student will proceed to complete an MPH with the College of Public Health with the option of reapplying to the College of Medicine or pursuing a career in Public Health after the second year. This is a non-thesis program requiring 42 credit hours and a culminating project with an oral and poster presentation.
