Favorite aspect of nephrology: What does serum osmolality tell you? Few people know and I like being one of those. Also, love fighting hard to avoid dialysis even if the patient has 1% of their kidney left.
I am most interested in onco-nephrology and mainly Monoclonal Gammopathy of Renal Significance. I love the meticulous pathophysiology behind it.
Outside of medicine: I usually keep it indoors. Mostly behind a computer screen, reading, researching, or convincing myself I am being productive reading a random article about forest mushrooms at 2:00 a.m.
If I weren’t a nephrologist, I would be: statistician, programmer, coder, or researcher.
