Message from the Program Director
The UAMS Rheumatology Fellowship Program is dedicated to training the next generation of exceptional clinical and academic rheumatologists. Our comprehensive two-year program provides immersive exposure to the full spectrum of rheumatology and immunology, blending clinical training with meaningful academic and scholarly opportunities.
Fellows develop expertise in diagnosing and managing the diverse arthritides and complex, multisystem autoimmune diseases that define our specialty. Beyond subspecialty mastery, we are equally committed to cultivating outstanding internists—physicians equipped with the breadth, depth, and clinical judgment required to care for patients with challenging and often overlapping conditions.
We are proud of our collaborative learning environment, supportive faculty mentorship, and commitment to professional growth. Thank you again for considering our program. We welcome your questions and look forward to connecting with you as you explore the next step in your training journey.
